Do you think you have what it takes to help improve local accountability of the police to the public? Do you want to make a positive impact on public confidence in policing in your area? Are you interested in a challenging and responsible role, working with volunteers and young people? If you are a proactive, highly organised team player with excellent interpersonal skills who is able to multi-task, then the Office of the Cambridgeshire Police & Crime Commissioner (OPCC) would like to hear from you.

The OPCC is looking for a committed individual to join their busy team in the role of Volunteer Co-ordinator, based in Cambourne. This role is to establish and embed a police cadets scheme for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough on behalf of the Cambridgeshire Police and Crime Commissioner; to manage the day to day business to support an effective Independent Custody Visiting Scheme operated through two Local ICV Panels and comprising up to 24 volunteers from the public. We are therefore seeking an individual who will be equally proficient in using a range of organisational, planning, project management and people skills, with experience of working with young people or volunteers.
