Cambridgeshire Police and Crime Commissioner Sir Graham Bright is looking for a committed individual to join his busy team in the role of Outreach Worker for the areas of Huntingdonshire, East Cambs, South Cambs and Cambridge. The Commissioner’s role is to work with police and partners to ensure they effectively tackle the local crime and disorder which affects each neighbourhood and matters most to the people who live and work there. One of the core responsibilities of this role is to listen to the public as individuals and collectively, such as parish councils, and to work in partnership with local agencies and voluntary organisations to identify and deliver shared solutions to local crime and anti-social behaviour problems in priority areas.



The location of the work will primarily be Cambourne, but there will be a requirement to regularly travel to other parts of Cambridgeshire as necessary. The successful candidate will be self motivated. Working hours are standard office hours (9 until 5, Monday to Friday) but a flexible working scheme is operated.
