You will play a pivotal role in the activity of providing an effective Force-wide communication network on a 24 hours basis. Rapidly and effectively deploying Police resources to a range of operational incidents and reassessing deployment decisions in light of emerging events will be the main focus of your work. You must be able to work a 24-hour shift system covering 365 days a year. Shift and weekend working allowances will be payable.

The ability to work within a team is essential, as is experience of call handling with members of the public, as you will also be dealing with telephone calls. You will possess a good level of computer literacy, together with accurate keyboard skills, and will be willing to learn a wide variety of operating systems and policies. With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work under pressure and problem-solving abilities, this may be the challenging role you seek.

Salary breakdown: £34,519.39 pro rata: Basic salary £25,758, Shift Allowance £5,151.60, Weekend Working Allowance £3,604.79 (As Per September 2022 Pay Scale). 

The Assessment Centre will be held on Monday 20th February 2023.  Candidates who are successful at the Assessment Centre will be invited to interview on Wednesday 1st March 2023.
