Head of Business Development – Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner  

Are you an organised task-focused senior leader looking for a new challenge? 

A vacancy has arisen for the Head of Business Development in the Office of the Cambridgeshire Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) supporting the delivery of the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Police and Crime Plan and statutory responsibilities.  

The post is a key member of the Chief’s Executive’s Senior Management Team with a wide range of responsibilities; this means existing experience working within the criminal justice system, policing or community safety world would enable you to quickly make a difference. 

Your role will include oversight of the running of the entire office to ensure that the Commissioner’s priorities are being delivered in accordance with the timescales and budget agreed and set out in a clear business development strategy. You will also be responsible for pulling together effective performance monitoring arrangements and acting as the OPCC link into collaborative policing arrangements ensuring they deliver best value. 

You will be part of a small but supportive team, currently working completely agile, but who will eventually be back at the Office of Police and Crime Commissioner based in Police Headquarters in Huntingdon for some of the working week. You must be able to travel to the office, and around the county and elsewhere, for meetings to meet business need, once circumstances allow.  

The role is full time (37 hours).  

The deadline for applications is April 28, 2021. 

Shortlisting will be carried out on April 29, 2021 and successful candidates will be invited to a face to face interview at Police Headquarters in Huntingdon on Thursday May 6, 2021.  The process will include delivery of a presentation (the topic for which will be given on the day) and a panel interview.
