A 12 month Fixed Term Contract (Or 12 month secondment for current staff) opportunity has arisen work in the UNISON Branch office in the role of Business Support Assistant.

We employ approximately 1,200 staff, with around 370 at our national centre in Euston in central London and the remainder in our 12 regions across the UK, including Northern Ireland.

The successful applicant will be working predominantly from the UNISON Branch Office at Thorpe Wood Police Station, however some travel will be expected to attend Branch Meetings to take minutes. The post is also “agile working” friendly.

Duties would include, but not limited to:
-Undertaking a range of administrative tasks, some of which may be complex in nature, to support a professional/operation UNISON team.
-Using the full Microsoft Office suite, researching, compiling and presenting information for Branch Officers, Stewards and Meetings.
-Being the first point of contact (telephone or face-to-face) for UNISON Members and signposting them to the relevant Branch Officer or Steward.
