You will be experienced in delivering inclusion related initiatives in a workplace as well as building and maintaining a network of contacts in order support your work.

Our new Continuing Professional Development Units are responsible for the ongoing development and training of our Police Officers. You will report to the Sergeant who works within that unit but will be working to ensure there is inclusivity across both Police officers and Police Staff.

As well as the hands elements of dealing with people, there will a need to review briefing documents, national best practice and management data in order to produce reports in varying formats for local review / information. This means you will to be able to process information and present it in the best format for the audience.

Because we work closely with both Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire constabularies, your role will not be limited to solely working within Cambridgeshire. Your day to day work may require you to travel across each of the 3 forces for meetings and training events. You should be comfortable working with people at all levels and forces.

You will usually be working Monday-Friday between 0900 & 1700 although there will need to be some flexibility in these working times as some of the external support groups you work with may not meet during office hours. You will usually be based from our Headquarters in Huntingdon, there will also be opportunity to work from home where operational need allows it.

As this is a new role, you will have the opportunity to really make it your own and make a difference for under-represented communities within Cambridgeshire.
