The Office of the Cambridgeshire Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) is looking to recruit a person who wants a varied and challenging role in small but supportive team, where no two days are the same.

It’s a fast-paced role so you’ll be managing your own work flow, so you’ll need to be highly organised with a willingness to be pro-active and take responsibility.   There is the day-to-day governance and compliance work to undertake, where you will add your ideas and support to improving our policies and processes. At the same time you will need to be able to react quickly and reprioritise your workload as new casework, review requests, complaints, and Freedom of Information requests come in for you to deal with.

You will also be the key person providing the secretariat support to the Police and Crime Commissioner’s new Independent Scrutiny Panel; an exciting time to take on this work as the Panel establishes itself.

Therefore, your eye for detail and strong sense of quality assurance mixed with your great communication skills both in writing and in person, will be invaluable to delivering your work and to the OPCC.

The role is full time (37 hours) but flexible working arrangements will be considered.

The OPCC team is currently working agilely but will eventually be back at Police Headquarters in Huntingdon. We are happy to consider a regular remote working arrangement in discussion with the candidate. The postholder must be able to travel to the office, and around the county and elsewhere, for meetings to meet business need, once circumstances allow.

Further information on the post can be obtained from Aly Flowers, Head of Compliance, please contact Aly by email to arrange a conversation (cambs-pcc@cambs.pnn.police.uk).
