If you have experience in working within a criminal justice agency; know your CPS from your HMCTS; your magistrates from your resident judge then this could be the job for you.

We are looking for someone who understands the Cambridgeshire criminal justice landscape and wants to work with partners to ensure it places victims and witnesses at its heart, brings offenders to justice and also makes them less likely to re-offend.

You will be responsible for supporting the chair of the Cambridgeshire Criminal Justice Board Police and Crime Commissioner Jason Ablewhite, board members and sub-group chairs to ensure we have an efficient and effective criminal justice system. This will involve highlighting solutions to local issues and developing pan-agency plans to mitigate them.

You will need to maintain effective governance through the criminal justice board structure by setting the agendas and ensuring the meetings drive solutions forward.

You will need to be a good communicator and be able to build good relationships with external partners to gain buy in to joint solutions. You will also be educated to degree level or equivalent.

This is a permanent position working a maximum of 30 hours a week although applications for reduced hours will be considered. The post is based at Police Headquarters in Huntingdon within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner.

There will be a requirement to travel throughout the county to attend meetings.
