One of the duties of the Police and Crime Commissioner is to understand the concerns of the public relating to Crime and Disorder and to ensure the police respond to the concerns raised.

This role is all about listening to people, as individuals and collectively, responding to their issues and working in partnership with local agencies and voluntary organisations to identify and deliver a joined up solution to the concerns raised.

As Engagement Officer you will oversee the planning and delivery of the Commissioner’s engagement activity and manage the casework that arises from the engagement. This will include working with partner organisations to agree the best way to respond to people’s needs.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised self-starter with experience of public engagement and partnership working. In particular you will need to be a highly effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.

This is a projected vacancy expected to become vacant in June 2017.
