Starting from £31,053 (pro rata)

This post will be based in the Central Intelligence Bureau but you would be expected to move around the Force as required. It is also subject of the Local Policing review which may impact upon your place of work.

Crime and Intelligence analysis within Cambridgeshire Constabulary is an exciting, fast developing area with a significant role in keeping our communities safe.

Working as a Senior Intelligence Analyst you will work alongside the senior management team within the CIB, with your primary responsibility being the supervision and support of a team of Intelligence Analysts. You will play a key role in ensuring that crime and intelligence analysis supports the tactical, operational and strategic objectives of the Force.

You will be responsible for leading and developing your team and advising senior officers and managers on the use of analysis. You will be pivotal in facilitating effective collaborative working within the Force, with other forces, LEA’s and partners.

Reporting to the Detective Chief Inspector – Intelligence Management, you will be expected to lead the development of internal good practice and may be required to represent Cambridgeshire Constabulary at regional or national level.

• Educated to degree level or with a recognised management qualification, you will either be a talented Crime or Intelligence Analyst with at least two years experience in this role and demonstrable supervisory skills OR an excellent manager with at least two years people management experience and substantial experience in analysing information in a working environment.
• With excellent people management skills you will have well developed research abilities and a high level of computer literacy. Experience of preparing and presenting reports is also essential.
• You will need to be innovative and resilient. Good organisational skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships, even when under pressure, are essential. The ability to communicate effectively and influence others are fundamental to this challenging role,
• Experience of working in an intelligence environment and knowledge of the National Intelligence Model would be an advantage.
