Are you an experienced Occupational Health Advisor looking for a challenge? If you are, then we might just be able to help you find your next exciting OHA role! We are offering a great opportunity for you to join our multi-disciplinary Occupational Health, Team in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire.

The full time Occupational Health Advisor post will be across-site role, Sandy and Welwyn Garden City, based from either. As part of this multi-disciplinary team will report to the Snr OHA and will assist in the delivery of a professional, evidence based Occupational Health service which meets the needs of the 3 Police Forces. We believe our Service helps to achieve the Forces’ vision of purposefully adding value to the communities in which we work and live.

You will have the opportunity to use a range of your OHA skills and experience. Clinical support and ongoing training are paramount to our team. This enables our staff to achieve the right skill mix to excel in their roles. We are looking for an OHA who has a solid understanding of current Occupational Health issues and relevant legislation with proven experience of complex case management. We are passionate about supporting our employees with solution focused OH advice, which helps to promote a positive work life balance.

The role includes supporting the management of sickness absence within the police force in conjunction with line managers and Human Resources and requires you to be able to balance individual needs against the needs of the business whilst advising managers on fitness to work.

You will be a Registered General or Mental Health Nurse with a qualification in Occupational Health. Success in this role requires excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation. Effective time management skills and IT skills are essential for this role. Previous experience of using OH IT systems would be an advantage.
