Working within Joint Protective Services (Scientific Services Unit), a new and exciting opportunity has arisen within the Forensic Imaging Unit at WGC, to contribute to achieving the Force vision, purpose and values.

The role supports the Forensic Alliance in achieving its objectives by retrieving and analysing forensic media to assist investigations and provide evidential material for submissions in Court.

You will be required to meet the minimum entry requirements, ideally have a strong background in audio, editing and CCTV and will be interviewed against the behavioural competences outlined in the application process. The unit is accredited to ISO 17025 standard and therefore understanding of this is required however training would be provided. Please refer to the role profile for a full description.

This role will also involve extensive liaison with partners and other customers to ensure deadlines and targets are achieved whilst ensuring the unit is kept up to date with legislation and national changes. The role includes handling and viewing of some graphic and sensitive images.

The ability to travel across all three forces is mandatory.
