An exciting opportunity has become available working within the Executive Department as an integral part of a small team ensuring the effective and efficient provision of administrative support to the Deputy Chief Constable.

The post involves varied administrative tasks which includes liaison with Chief Officers and Senior Managers across the organisation and external stakeholders therefore excellent communication skills are essential. Time and diary management is a crucial part of this role therefore proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook is also essential.

Attention to detail and being proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word is necessary as there will be a requirement to research, prepare and present documents in an efficient, timely, accurate and confidential manner.

The successful candidate will need to be a highly motivated individual, who has the ability to work using their own initiative by prioritising their workload to ensure they are able to provide administrative support to the Deputy Chief Constable, often with little notice. On occasion there could be a need to provide advice, support and guidance to other support staff within the team.

The successful candidate will be located at Police Headquarters, Welwyn Garden City.
