‘Prevention First’ is a new and transformative operating model, shifting Hertfordshire Constabulary’s policing focus to a preventative way of working.   Hertfordshire is the first Force in the country to implement this preventative model and have a strong track record in partnership working to stop repeat crime, victimisation and harm, now looking to be enhanced. By understanding why operational and organisational issues occur and tackling that, as well as deploying criminal justice and enforcement options appropriately, the Constabulary can reduce demand. 

Given the implementation of this new model, an exciting opportunity to join Hertfordshire Constabulary as one of four Business Development Analysts is offered to help shape and deliver the Forces’ Prevention First agenda. Working within the Local Change Team, the Business Development Analysts will develop and disseminate business information to better inform the Constabulary and enable the efficient provision of service and contribute to achieving the Force’s vision, purpose and values. 

Applicants must be experienced in data collection methodologies and interpretation and presentation of numeric analysis and must be able to demonstrate excellent communications skills. The successful applicants will be computer literate with the experience in the use and development of spreadsheet and databases. Finally, a sound working knowledge and experience in business development improvement is required.
