An opportunity has arisen to join the exciting and challenging world of Criminal Justice in light of a forthcoming vacancy. 

The successful candidate will have line management responsibility for a team of staff and/or officers who are responsible for the administration of all of the varied criminal justice functions of the Tri force working closely with the Criminal Justice System partners and key stakeholders.

The role profile identifies all the key responsibilities but these include:

  • Working with stakeholders & partners actively contribute to the Post Covid recovery phase of the CJS
  • Monitor and review CJS partners and key stake holders’ decisions and advise the 3 forces of trends and implications of court decisions to ensure consistency in prosecuting criteria
  • Plan strategies to accommodate new legislation and national policies for adoption force wide to ensure consistency of prosecution policy and support Government key objectives.
  • Provide legal and procedural advice to enable operational staff to make informed decisions at the beginning of the process thus avoiding the potential for wasted resources.
  • Develop monitoring systems and provide statistical data in order to assess the practicality of internal systems to ensure these systems are effectively and efficiently improved.
  • Developing policies and processes applying risk management criteria. Liaising with relevant agencies to ensure this is done effectively.
