An exciting opportunity has arisen for a trainee placement or newly qualified counsellor/CBT therapist to work in a voluntary capacity with the existing Psychological Health Team at Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire Police and Hertfordshire Constabulary multi-disciplinary Occupational Health Unit.

This is an ideal role for those looking for a counselling or CBT placement while still studying or for those who are newly qualified who are looking for hours for their BACP accreditation.

We are currently seeking to recruit a up to 4 volunteer therapists, with vacancies at the Northern OHU Hub at Sandy and the Southern OHU Hub in Welwyn Garden City.

This is a unique opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team occupational health team providing solutions focused counselling or CBT as well as assisting with our ongoing psychological screening program. You will be working closely with other professionals to provide a customer focused service which supports both the organisation and, it’s most important resource, the people who work within it.

You will need to be able to work on your own initiative, with a high degree of autonomy and demonstrate high levels of personal motivation, drive and resilience and the ability to manage an extremely varied workload with ever changing priorities.

You will need excellent communication and influencing skills both written and verbal and must be confident in using IT packages such as Microsoft office and databases.

There is a requirement to commit to professional supervision to maintain high standards of professional practice for both the practitioner and the client.
