We are currently welcoming applications for full time Force Contact Centre (FCC) Radio Dispatch Agents.

As an FCC Radio Dispatch Agent you will work variable 12 hour shifts 4 days on and 4 days off (shift hours of 2 shifts x 0600-1800 and 2 x shifts 1800 – 0600). PLEASE NOTE that the shift allowance and weekend working allowances quoted in this advert are maximums, and are awarded for people working the full shift pattern.

As a radio agent you will be required to deploy appropriate Police resources to incidents, monitor radio channels and respond to the needs of Officers. Co-ordinate emergency services and partner agencies, dynamically risk assess incidents to ensure public and officer safety and in the event of large scale operations work with senior commanders. Excellent listening and customer service skills are vital for this role other skills that are required are the ability to multi task and use IT systems effectively.

Bedfordshire Police offer 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays for full time employees. This is pro-rata for part time employees. New employees are also automatically enrolled into a staff pension scheme on commencement of employment however there is the option to opt out.
