The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent customer service, listening and questioning skills, along with the ability to quickly assimilate information, extracting significant points to establish the circumstances of the incident, assessing risk and deciding on the best response for that contact whilst demonstrating empathy to those you speak to.
Every call taken is different and prospective applicants should be aware that sometimes our callers can be quite distressed or describe distressing circumstances.
Reports received into the First Contact Centre are assessed in line with the Forces risk assessment principles known as THRIVE.

We are looking for a good team player, who can also work on their own initiative who possesses the above skills. Knowledge of Police Systems is desirable, but not essential as full training will be given. Demonstrable ICT skills with attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
