You will be required to supervise some of the CIB Intelligence teams with various roles including 24/7 intel team, Briefing and Tasking, OVRO and Warrants Management. To act as the SPOC with force business partners and agencies. To ensure and facilitate working practice compliance in relation to MoPI, DPA, NIM. To have broad knowledge and understanding of dealing with Restricted and Confidential information, MoPI, RIPA, FOI, ECHR, DPA, CPIA, NIM, Human Rights issues worldwide and open source.

This role requires the successful candidate to have evidence of managerial experience and the following ability, knowledge and desirable skills as essential: 

  • To manage and supervise CIB Intel team who receive, evaluate, research, link, risk assess and disseminate overt, protected and covert intelligence.
  • To ensure procedures are carried out in accordance with national legislation, THRIVE, ISA’s and to provide advice and guidance to ensure force compliance.
  • To facilitate and ensure working practice compliance in relation to MoPI, DPA, NIM.
  • To quality assure intelligence management and handling to National and Local standards.
  • To link in, promote and maintain partner agency working and to ensure a cross flow of information/information is made with business partners, agencies and all forces.
  • To act as International Liaison Officer
  • To risk assess and advise on disclosure of sensitive information to business partners/agencies.
  • To have a broad knowledge and understanding of MoPI, RIPA, FOI, ECHR, DPA, CPIA, NIM, Human Rights issues worldwide is required.
  • To manage operational effectiveness of CIB Intel to ensure resourcing requirements are met and supported.
  • To manage and monitor workloads for service delivery and effective performance and to ensure a robust audit process for compliance.
  • To examine processes to ensure continuous improvement, efficiencies and best practice.
  • Appraising staff against agreed objectives.
  • Any other duties/responsibilities commensurate with the post. 

This role is Monday – Friday core hours

Please note that this is a 12-month Fixed Term, Working from Home vacancy and the position holder would require MV and SC Vetting clearance.
