Fast and immediate access and analysis of information is essential in modern policing so this is an exciting time to lead database development work within the Police.

The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire ICT Department are looking to recruit a developer to focus on database development. The role will be based at either Huntingdon, Welwyn or Kempston (flexible dependant on individual) and may involve some travel between these and other sites.

The successful applicant will join a skilled team of Developers undertaking a variety of software development work using industry standard tools and methodologies. Applicants must have expertise and experience of relational database design, either Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle, and software development. Proficiency in tools such as SSIS and SSRS and database programming is required. Some knowledge of object orientated programming, would also be an advantage.
