An exciting opportunity has arisen for Superintendent Positions with Bedfordshire Police

The superintendent roles in Bedfordshire – whether in Crime or Local Policing – are critical in co-ordinating and driving operational and strategic activity. Bedfordshire Police is a well-respected, high-performing, efficiently run police service working together with others to protect people and keep Bedfordshire safe.

You will be expected to support the delivery of the Chief Constable’s strategic plan as well as the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Policing Plan.

We are looking for energetic individuals with a proven track record for leading change in an uncertain environment, and delivering outstanding performance outcomes for victims of crimes and communities we serve including improved victim satisfaction. We are looking for innovative people who can work with partners, maximise the use of technology and limited resources to deliver a high quality service to the public.

You will need proven leadership and people skills.

These are pro-active and dynamic roles and the successful candidates will be expected to evidence strong operational credibility and experience of operational command of active crime and firearms operations.

This opportunity is open to substantive superintendents / Detective Superintendent’s looking for a new challenge and those excellent Chief Inspectors / Detective Chief Inspectors supported for promotion to Superintendent by your ACPO team
