ERSOU celebrates diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and respected. We actively encourage applications from underrepresented or minority groups. ERSOU is a Disability Confident employer. Should you require any reasonable adjustments for your application process, please contact the ERSOU team by using the email provided below. We also offer the guaranteed interview scheme; this means that all candidates with a disability covered by the Equality Act 2010, who meet the minimum entry requirements for the role, will be invited to attend an interview. Where possible we will also consider flexible working requests.

ERSOUs Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) and Regional Organised Crime units (ROCU) are supported by staff from the Support Services Unit. Vacancies have arisen for Support Services Administrators working within that team reporting to the Support Services Supervisor.

The post is interesting, varied and dynamic. Administrators are responsible for a wide range of supporting functions including fleet and building management as well as procurement and purchasing which will include booking travel and training requirements for operational officers and staff.

These vacancies are based at post code CB8 and the other is based at Stansted Airport CM24 1QW. The post holders will be required to attend a number of operational meetings - noting action points for later follow up. There will be a requirement to travel across the seven Eastern Region forces (in a provided vehicle) to a number of locations and ports to collect and deliver fleet as well as delivering equipment and stationery.

Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo Management Vetting (5 years residency criteria) and Security Clearance (5 years residency criteria) or Development vetting, if applicable, before taking up the post. Please be aware the Police Corporate Vetting Unit will undertake security vetting on successful candidates, their family and others that live at their home address, which will include financial checks. Due to the sensitive nature of these checks, we are not able to supply feedback should clearance be declined.

You will be expected to provide written evidence around the competencies listed below and the minimum entry requirements from the role profile (maximum 500 words each).

  • We take ownership
  • We are collaborative
  • We deliver, support and inspire
  • We analyse critically

If you are an internal applicant working within BCH (Bedfordshire Police, Cambridgeshire Constabulary or Hertfordshire Constabulary), please upload either your CV or a completed internal role summary form. This form can be found in the attached documents. Please note you will still be required to evidence against the competencies listed above and the minimum entry requirements as stipulated in the role profile.

If you are an external applicant, please ensure you upload your CV and evidence against the competencies listed above and the minimum entry requirements as stipulated in the role profile. To ensure the recruitment process is fair and equal, please do not include any personal details on your CV, other than your name. An internal role summary form should not be completed.

Please note that this advert will be live to redeployees throughout the recruitment of this advert. Any redeployee that applies will only need to evidence against the minimum entry requirements of the role profile and the competencies listed above. To do this if you are a redeployee, write ‘Redeployee’ in the other competency boxes and just complete your evidence against the minimum entry requirements in the relevant box. Redeployees will take priority over other candidates at any point during the recruitment process up until a final offer is produced and you will be notified if this happens.
