Are you interested in a varied and challenging role contributing to making Cambridgeshire a safer place? Do you want to broaden your experience within the criminal justice system, policing or community safety context?  Do you have the skills, experience and enthusiasm to manage a Business Support function within an agile working environment.  Can you help to deliver a comprehensive, efficient and effective service across all areas of our business?  Are you able to provide professional administrative support to a relatively small but highly effective team?

An exciting vacancy has now arisen for a post in the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough supporting the delivery of the Commissioner’s Police and Crime Plan and their statutory responsibilities.  Your focus will be on managing the business support function ensuring effective links with the work of the rest of the team and identifying possible solutions to issues. You will have line management responsibilities.  You will provide support and resilience to others in the team and play a part in ensuring statutory and governance requirements and processes are adhered to on behalf of the Commissioner.  The nature of the role and the size of the small but supportive team means you will need to be comfortable balancing competing priorities.

The team is working agilely but will eventually be back at Police Headquarters in Huntingdon. We are happy to consider a regular remote working arrangement in discussion with the candidate. The post holder must be able to travel to the office, and around the county and elsewhere, for meetings to meet business need.

The role is full time (37 hours).  Flexible working arrangements will be considered.

Further information on the post can be obtained from Jack Hudson, Head of Business Development.  Please contact Jack by email to arrange a conversation jack.hudson@cambs.police.uk
